This week’s field isn’t as impressive as last week’s, but there are plenty of good options.
A List
In spit of the field having fewer of the top 50 as last week, the A list has difficult decisions. There are four golfers I’d love to chose: Webb Simpson (runner up last year), Luke Donald (top 10 machine), Matt Kuchar (the American version of Luke Donald) and KJ Choi (former winner here). As much as I like Choi, he hasn’t impressed this season so I’ll pass. Kuchar doesn’t have the history here compared to the other two, so I’ll skip him this week too. It is a tossup on who starts so I’ll flip a coin and go with Donald to start and Simpson on the bench.
B List
The B list doesn’t have as many options. I’ll start last week’s winner Justin Rose. Brandt Snedeker has looked great this season with a win and 3 top 10s and he gets the start. I’ll bench Bo Van Pelt and Bryce Molder. I’m going to pass on last year’s winner in Gary Woodland. Jason Day is a good option on the B list.
C List
Last week Charl Schwartzel looked impressive so gets another start. There are several good picks for the bench including Peter Hansen, John Senden and Martin Laird. I’m going to take a flyer on Harris English.
